Friendship Story

Story that I came across:

Ever since Kumar was a child, he had a fear of someone under his bed at night.
So he went to a Psychiatrist and told him “I’ve got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there’s somebody under it. I’m scared. I think I’m going crazy.”

“Just put yourself in my hands for one year”, said the psychiatrist.

“Come, talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears.” said the psychiatrist.

“How much do you charge?” asked Kumar.

“$200 per visit,” replied the psychiatrist.

‘I’ll think of it and if needed I will come back to you,’ Kumar said.

Six months later Kumar met the Psychiatrist on the street.
‘Why didn’t you come to see me about those fears you were having?’ Psychiatrist asked.

‘Well, $200 a visit three times a week for a year is an awful lot of money! Couple of my friends cured me over a dinner chat-out. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought myself a new SUV”.

‘Is that so!’ with a bit of an attitude Psychiatrist said, ‘and how, may I ask, did the friends cure you?’

They told me to “Sell the bed and sleep on a Mattress on the floor.” explained Kumar.

Friends idea sometime may sound crazy but will have amazing result too.

Proverb Week – Day 4

“Be slow in choosing, but slower in changing.”

Once you choose any things or anyone you get to choose with great caution and care, but once after choosing, be with them or it for as long as you can before you have a choice to change.

Example: Learn new technology and skills do not plan to change too quickly until you get acquainted with it. Once you have learnt, try to explore and don’t change it fast.
